These terms cover katharsa.com and the waitlist. Using either means you accept them. They're short because the site currently does one thing.

You must be 18

Katharsa publishes adult material. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher. The age gate asks you once and takes your word for it — but confirming it when it isn't true is a breach of these terms, and if we learn a minor has an account or a waitlist entry, we delete it without notice.

What Katharsa is

The stories are fiction. Every character, event and situation is invented by our writers. Narrators appear under pseudonyms and perform written material — they are not recounting their own lives, and nothing in a Katharsa story is a claim about a real person or a real event.

The narrators are real people. Their voices are recreated with AI, with their documented consent, and that consent covers this use. The performances are synthesised; the permission behind them is not.

Nothing in Katharsa is advice, instruction, or a recommendation. It's fiction, made to be listened to.

The waitlist

Joining means we'll email you when Katharsa opens. That's the whole commitment, and it runs in one direction — we make no promise about when that will be, what it will cost, or that it will happen at all. You can leave at any time via the unsubscribe link or by writing to us. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

What you may not do

Submit an email address that isn't yours, or that you're not entitled to use
Attempt to flood, scrape, probe or disrupt the site or the form
Misrepresent your age
Copy, redistribute or republish Katharsa material without written permission
Use Katharsa material to train a machine learning model

Who owns what

The writing, audio, sound design, name, marks and site are ours or licensed to us. Access to Katharsa material is permission to listen and read, personally — it isn't a transfer of anything. The narrators' voices and likenesses remain theirs; our licence to use them doesn't extend to you.

What we don't promise

The site is provided as it is. We don't guarantee it will always be available, or that it will be free of faults. We may change or discontinue any of it, and we may close the waitlist or the project entirely — if we do, we'll email you and delete the list.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any consumer right you have under Romanian or EU law that can't be signed away. If you're a consumer in the EU, those rights survive these terms regardless of what any other clause says.

Law and disputes

Romanian law governs these terms. If you're a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protections of that country's mandatory consumer law. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change materially affects you and we have your email, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
